About
Emily Driscoll (she/her) is proud to be a lifelong Chicagoan, though she briefly defected overseas – first to France, then to the UK – in early adulthood, when the inconvenience posed by transatlantic flights was provoking a severe flare-up of her chronic wanderlust. She is also an avid cook, baker, and consumer of delicious things, and would be delighted to write you a very long list of restaurant recommendations for any of the 75+ (and counting!) cities she’s traveled to.
Emily holds a BA from the University of Chicago in theoretical linguistics, which she has made no use of at all by leaving graduate school and getting a job in video game production instead. This has so far turned out to have been an excellent choice, though Emily has yet to shake the habit of eagerly explaining the relationship between gesture, sign, and spoken language to anybody who will listen.
